Hampshire College
In keeping with its mission as an experimental college, Hampshire incorporates the history, theory, analysis and design of the built environment in an interdisciplinary way in all of the schools in the college. In the School of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies, students can concentrate in architectural history and/or design in Division II or III. Students also concentrate in urban history and theory in the School of Social Sciences, in environmental design and sustainability in the School of Natural Sciences, and in applied design in the Lemelson Center and in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts.

Mount Holyoke College
Mount Holyoke now offers a major in architectural studies. Administered by the art department, the curriculum will provide students with creative, visual, and historic foundations in architectural issues and practice.
Mount Holyoke Architectural Studies

Smith College
The architecture major is built on a mix of both studio and art history courses. The art history courses examine the interrelated artistic, historic, and cultural forces that create architecture and the built environment. Likewise, the studios explore the built environment "as a person experiences it," integrating traditionally separate aspects of landscape and architecture, building and city in the active "laboratory" of the design studio.
